Worldwide Veterinary Service is a registered UK charity whose emphasis is on providing a sustainable veterinary resource to help animal organisations around the world.

We work with all species and our volunteer teams are aimed not only at improving animal welfare but also at benefiting the local communities in which they work. By reducing feral dog populations for example, we can help control zoonotic (infectious to humans) diseases such as rabies and leishmaniasis. By helping train equine paramedics in developing countries we benefit communities that depend on working equines for the mainstay of their economy.

WVS seek to alleviate suffering and improve the welfare and moral perception of animals worldwide by:

  • Co-ordinating teams of volunteers to assist the work of animal welfare organisations in all countries.
  • Supplying medicines, equipment and advice where they are needed most.
  • Providing sustainable input, building long term relationships and leading education programmes to the benefit of local animal and human populations.
  • Promoting and conducting research in all matters relating to animal welfare.

Education is essential in order to ensure we make a long-term difference. You can find out more about the educational work of WVS on the WTS page.

Please support us in our work and help us make a difference where it counts.
