Worldwide Veterinary Service now has over 130 associated charities all over the world requesting assistance.

As well as providing drugs, equipment and advice, WVS also co-ordinates volunteer veterinary teams to assist these charities. WVS volunteers are involved with projects ranging from neutering expeditions and mobile health clinics to welfare education programmes and conservation projects all over the world.

WVS sends teams of varying sizes consisting of vets, veterinary nurses, and non-veterinary volunteers with a range of experience. Sometimes the teams are as small as one vet whilst at other times they are big groups of 10 people or so.

We recommend reading some of the reports on our previous trips which can be found in our articles section. These are written by WVS volunteers and provide a good insight into what being a volunteer involves!

All volunteers wishing to take part in a trip are required to be members of WVS. Membership costs just £2.75 a month or £30 a year.



If you do not wish to make a payment online you can send a cheque made payable to Worldwide Veterinary Service to our office address or complete and return a standing order form which can be found by clicking on the Join Us button.

Once you have joined WVS as a member you will gain access to the members section of our website where you can view details of our associated charities, upcoming trips list and veterinary protocols. You will also receive our fortnightly update email and bi-annual newsletter.

Obviously administration costs are an essential burden to any charity but we try our best to keep ours to a minimum so that more money can be used to fund our projects. This is why much of the communication with our members is internet based, but we can provide any information you require by post and of course, a member of staff will always be happy to answer any questions over the phone.
